Caroline was born in Pembrokeshire, then moved to Waterloo outside Liverpool, where she first remembers drawing. In those days there were warships and submarines in the Mersey, and she drew them from her bedroom window. She has drawn and painted all her life ( she still has sketch books going back to when she was nine!)
When she left school she went to The Laird School of Art in Birkenhead, before going to the Royal Academy of Music to study singing. Caroline now lives in Worcestershire, but spends as much time as possible in Pembrokeshire.
Caroline did not do much painting until her sons went away to school. Then she did an Open College of Art course , which was enormously enjoyable and useful. Since then she has painted as often as possible with a variety of wonderful teachers, including Ken Howard, Lucy Willis and Tom Coates and recently with David Tress. All these artists have been hugely influential to her and have given great encouragement in her work.
