Working in the beautiful Shropshire hills Nik creates one of a kind sculptures of animals, fish and insects.
The combination of nature with machine is central to his creative practice and offers a common theme throughout the work. His sculptures are made predominantly from wood and metal and are designed for interior display.
Nik is continuously experimenting with materials and processes. He creates a range of exterior sculpture as well as statement garden furniture.
As a child Nik loved nothing better than to go looking around old antique shops hoping to find some weird and wonderful Victorian contraption. He also spent a lot of time reading science fiction books, letting his imagination run wild. Nik began his working life as a photographer but it wasn’t long before he re-qualified as a sculptor. Nik was very much taken by the Steampunk movement.
Nik trained at Hereford College of arts. He is a member of the Worcester and Shropshire Guilds and has just been accepted to the London based Society of Designer Craftsmen.
