Sharon has been designing and making jewellery, metalwork and greetings cards for over 20 years after graduating Birmingham School of Jewellery. In 2013 she followed her dream to move to Cornwall.
Working in both precious and non-precious metals, such as copper and brass, she creates jewellery and metalwork selling her work through galleries/craft shops and retail events.
Sharon’s jewellery designs feature humorous characters and animals often with a theme. She is inspired by folk art, children’s illustrations, textiles and a love of gardening! These pieces are produced from either brass or silver then given a variety of plating/finishing techniques creating different effects.
The metalwork wall pieces have evolved due to a love of pattern and colour, creating different textures & surface decoration. Leaves & birds have been etched in copper & brass with heat colouration then soldered into larger scale wall pieces, individual pieces mounted on oak or as single decorations.
