Born and brought up in Edinburgh, Julie studied at Loughborough College Of Art and Design from 1987 to 1990. She developed Watch Piece Jewellery in 1991 and currently lives and works in Todmorden, Lancashire. Though it may appear delicate, Watch Piece jewellery is of solid construction and meticulously crafted to last. Julie is currently developing a new line of work which predominately uses the wheels and cogs from mechanical timepieces. Modern day curiosities evocative of a bygone age.
Antique, vintage and modern watches are reworked and recycled to produce beautiful and highly individual pieces of wearable art.

Each piece of work has been lacquered to protect from the elements and is backed with a resin mixture which is hard wearing and non-reactive with skin.
From classical elegance to fantastical forms, Watch Piece Jewellery covers a wide range of styles catering for both men and women and though it may appear delicate, the jewellery is finely crafted, of solid construction and meticulously created to last.
