Joey, an internationally acclaimed turner and sculptor from Lincolnshire  brings new life to local and reclaimed timber, presenting it with vigour, beauty, and timeless storytelling.  Combining her MA in Fine Art with traditional craftsmanship and innovative techniques, she explores themes of identity, memory, and the environment, creating deeply symbolic artworks.

By repurposing timber, Richardson highlights its history and character, emphasising sustainability and transformation. Each piece tells a story, transposing  wood into an expressive canvas that bridges the natural and human-made worlds.

Joey is Renter Warden for the Worshipful Company of Turners, President of the Association of Woodturners of Great Britain and a Queen Elizabeth Scholar.  She inspires others through teaching and demonstrations. Her work is held in prominent collections worldwide, commissions includes pieces for Fabergé and the Platinum Jubilee Processional Cross presented to HM Queen Elizabeth II.
